70 degrees today. Breezy, too, but not too bad. Took a long walk down the road with the dogs. Mail carrier left my neighbor's mail in my box so we took it with us so they'd get their mail today instead of tomorrow. Gave us a reason to walk all that way and not "cheat" and turn around early. My knees are aching a bit but it's a good ache.
Walked around the yard after scooping poop and started making a mental list of all I want/need to do to the flower beds this year. They've been sadly neglected for many years now. List got too long for me to remember so needless to say I'll be very busy this summer.
My male goldfinches are rapidly changing to their bright yellow breeding plumage from the dull olive yellow of the winter. They are a spot of brightness on this overcast day.
Saw a male bluebird this morning. Unfortunately the house sparrows chased him off. My bluebird houses are also on the sadly neglected list.
